Scope

A full interior and exterior repaint of a renovated Tweed Heads home, taken from bare renovation shell to a complete, cohesive finish inside and out.

The brief

A Tweed Heads family had just finished a substantial renovation and needed the whole house painted as one job — new plasterboard and patched original walls inside, weathered render and timber trim outside — so the old and new work read as a single home rather than an extension bolted on.

Our approach

We worked interior and exterior in sequence so the family could stay living in the house. Inside, new plasterboard was sealed and the original walls were sanded, filled and spot-primed until the two surfaces took paint identically. Outside, the render was pressure cleaned and repaired, bare timber was primed, and the whole exterior was rolled and brushed in an exterior-grade system chosen for coastal exposure.

The result

A consistent finish across every surface, inside and out, with no visible line between the renovated and original parts of the house. The exterior system is rated for the salt and UV load this close to the coast, so the finish holds its colour rather than chalking off in a few summers.
