These Terms of Service govern the supply of painting and decorating services by Stress Free Painting (ACN 668 860 231, ABN 24 668 860 231) (“we”, “us”). By accepting a quote or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
Quotes and validity
All quotes are provided free of charge and remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing. Quotes are based on the condition of surfaces as inspected and the scope of work described. Additional work discovered after commencement — such as hidden damage, moisture issues or substrate failure — may require a variation to the quoted price, which will always be discussed and agreed with you before proceeding.
Payment terms
Payment terms are set out on each quote and invoice. Unless otherwise agreed, a deposit may be required before work commences, with the balance due on completion. Invoices are payable within 7 days of issue. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts and to suspend work where payments are outstanding.
Workmanship and warranty
We are a QBCC licensed contractor (licence 15266468) and all work is carried out in accordance with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 and applicable statutory warranties. Our workmanship is guaranteed in line with QBCC requirements. Manufacturer warranties on paints and coatings apply as provided by the relevant manufacturer and are subject to correct maintenance of the finished surfaces.
Variations and access
Any change to the agreed scope of work must be confirmed in writing and may affect the price and timeline. You agree to provide reasonable access to the site, water and power, and to secure or remove fragile items before work begins. Delays caused by weather, access restrictions or third parties may extend the completion date without penalty to us.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the services is limited to re-performing the relevant work or refunding the amount paid for it. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or the QBCC statutory insurance scheme. We hold public liability insurance appropriate to the work we undertake.
